3skelion Brief Description
3skelion in-vehicle cellular systems outperform the traditional omnidirectional antennas fully deployed on moving RF repeater systems. Capable of scanning, detecting and automatically selecting the optimum donor radio base station direction, your repeater systems will no longer waste their valuable power in re-transmitting “junk” in their service area.
High gain directional antennas can now replace the legacy omnidirectional and act as natural “coverage boosters” and “interference filters” for the repeaters in use. Managed and controlled by a sophisticated operating system, 3skelion base station scanners will detect the strongest, highest quality radio signals to “feed” the repeater.
This unique functionality allows the repeater to enhance its operational performance, while in-motion on “distant” and “noisy” service environments. Programmed to collect – process – analyze and store network data, 3skelion will alert you about the problematic areas along the repeater’s service routes.
Identified with a unique tracking number, 3skelion’s global positioning system will pin-point on a map the repeater performance, at any time and place in its entire operational lifetime. Through its embedded remote server capability interacts with your network maintenance center and ensures its every day operational activity.
Being fully autonomous, 3skelion is a powerful IP67 outdoor unit that has been manufactured for harsh environments with the highest standards for long lasting reliability. 3skelions are valuable repeater performance improvement systems that can be easily installed and maintained on the field.

3skelion as an IoT Device
3skelion’s enclosed GPS tracks the mobility of the repeater and reports the serving radio base stations at any time and place in its entire operational lifetime.
In this way, 3skelion works as a sophisticated IoT device for the mobile network operator (MNO), as it “senses”, process and reports the selected serving cells performance indicators (PIs) along the operational transport routes. The collected PIs of the selected serving radio base station cells are processed on 3skelion’s server in order to prepare the necessary information needed by the MNO’s radio network optimization teams.
A snapshot of the 3skelion’s monitoring software GUI is shown below.
Such information indicatively includes the coverage area (along the transport route) that each radio base station cell was dominant, the monitored radio conditions (such as the average RSCP/RSRP and EcNo/RSRQ for the respective operating radio access technologies) as well as the actual distance of the serving radio base station cell from the repeater.
